Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using CopyPasta (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. CopyPasta is developed and operated by Maksimov Anatolii, registered as autónomo in Spain ("we", "us", or "our").
2. Description of Service
CopyPasta is a clipboard management application for macOS that stores your clipboard history locally on your device with encryption. The App includes features such as clipboard history with configurable retention, smart categorization of copied content, keyboard-driven navigation, secure sharing of clipboard items via temporary encrypted links, and data export.
3. System Requirements
CopyPasta requires macOS 13 (Ventura) or later. We do not guarantee compatibility with beta or pre-release versions of macOS. We are not responsible for issues arising from unsupported system configurations.
4. Account and Registration
CopyPasta does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or register in any way. The App functions entirely without user authentication.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
5.1 Pricing
CopyPasta offers a 7-day free trial. After the trial period, continued access requires one of the following: a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. All subscription tiers and the lifetime purchase provide access to all features of the App. Current pricing is displayed in the App and on the App Store product page.
5.2 Billing
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's terms for in-app subscriptions, including automatic renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.
5.3 Refunds
All refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.
5.4 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. Any price change will apply to the next billing cycle after the change is announced. Apple will notify you of price increases before your next renewal, and you will have the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.
6. License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your personal or internal business purposes. This license does not include the right to sublicense, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
7. Intellectual Property
CopyPasta, its name, logo, visual design, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Maksimov Anatolii. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. Your clipboard content remains entirely yours — we claim no rights to any data stored in or processed by the App.
8. Secure Sharing Feature
The secure sharing feature allows you to make clipboard items temporarily accessible via a browser link. You are solely responsible for the content you share and for distributing the access link and encryption key only to intended recipients. We do not monitor, moderate, or store shared content. The sharing session is active only while the App is running and you have an active sharing tab. We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from you sharing the link or key with unintended parties.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use CopyPasta to:
- Share content that violates any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
- Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Facilitate illegal activity of any kind
You agree not to attempt to interfere with, compromise, or exploit the relay server used for the sharing feature. We reserve the right to disable access to the sharing relay for any user who violates these terms.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
CopyPasta is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that the encryption mechanisms used in the App meet any specific security certification or standard, though we employ industry-standard practices.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Maksimov Anatolii be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the App, regardless of the theory of liability. Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rights under EU law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maksimov Anatolii from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your sharing of content through the secure sharing feature.
13. Termination
You may stop using CopyPasta at any time by uninstalling the App and cancelling any active subscription through your Apple ID settings. We may terminate or suspend your access to the sharing relay if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms. Termination does not affect your locally stored clipboard data, which remains on your device under your control.
14. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the App or on our website at https://copypasta.pro. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you should stop using the App and cancel your subscription.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence. You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and End User License Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Maksimov Anatolii regarding your use of CopyPasta and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
